YOUR training options
PPL(A) - Private pilot License
The PPL(A) is your entry into the world of real flying — a license that lets you pilot fully equipped aircraft for leisure, private travel, or business purposes. It is recognized almost worldwide and represents the essential first step for anyone considering a professional pilot career, forming the foundation for all higher licenses and advanced ratings.
With a PPL(A), you can operate any single-engine piston (SEP) aircraft for non-commercial flights, with no restrictions on aircraft size or number of passengers. It offers true freedom to travel on your own terms, whether for weekend getaways or cross-country business trips.
For those aiming at the airlines, PPL(A) is the natural starting point, giving you access to professional modules like IR(A), MEP, and CPL(A).
Already hold a ULL(A) license? Part of your previous experience may be credited, allowing you to reduce your total training hours and complete your PPL(A) faster and more efficiently.
Take the first step toward meaningful, independent, and limitless flying.
Entry Requirements:
-
16 years of age (for solo flights) or older
-
Medical Class II Certificate or higher

Theory Lessons

price on request
Before taking to the sky, every pilot begins with a strong theoretical foundation. Your ground training introduces you to the essentials of air law, aircraft systems, human performance, basic aerodynamics, and radio communication.
The full theory program consists of 100 hours, typically split into 40 hours with an instructor and 60 hours of guided self-study. Training sessions are held at our training bases, or conveniently online.
After completing your ground school, you will take the official final examination at the Czech Civil Aviation Authority in Prague — your last step before fully focusing on practical flying.

TRAINING OVERVIEW

overview
Flight training includes a minimum of 45 flight hours. You will begin by mastering the fundamentals of safe aircraft handling at the one of our home base airports. As your skills grow, you will progress to cross-country navigation flights, visiting airports across the Czech Republic — and, if you wish, even neighboring countries.
By the end of the course, you will be fully capable of operating safely into almost any airfield, including major international airports. With an ICAO Aviation English qualification, your horizons expand even further — enabling you to take your aircraft virtually anywhere in the world.
Flight lessons are available at F AIR’s main base at Benešov Airport (just south of Prague) or at our secondary base in Brno, the capital of the Moravian region.

Moria Ashkenazi
First Officer, Airbus A320

"Becoming an airline pilot has been a dream come true, and I owe a big part of this journey to F AIR. The training I received there, laid the foundation for the skills and confidence I needed to thrive in the airline industry. In addition to the actual flying, I received a lot of valuable information about the interview process and the industry from the instructors who are also airline and private jet pilots.
Today, I'm flying the Airbus A320 family, and I love every second of it!"

First Officer, Boeing B737

"At F AIR, I went through modular training from 0 to ATPL. From the whole training, I especially appreciate the professional approach, the set procedures and their observance (good habit for airlines), the opportunity to try out several different types of aircraft and at the same time the number of instructors. In this way, a person can take away valuable experience from everyone and further benefit from it.
As part of my training, I took advantage of offers for foreign flights, first with an instructor and then with friends, which brought additional valuable experience.
Every time we now fly southeast from Prague, I like to look out the cockpit window of the Boeing 737 where it all began."

Kristýna Jupová
First Officer, Boeing B737

"I chose F AIR because of friendly and very skilled instructors and huge variety of aircraft types. F AIR cooperates with some international and domestic airlines as well, so after the training there is great possibility to get a job."
